St Nicholas Day

On Sunday, December 7^th, we will celebrate St. Nicholas Day! St. Nicholas, for any who may not know, was a 4^th century Bishop from Myra, now part of modern-day Turkey. He was known for giving to the poor, caring for orphaned children, and defending the faith of Jesus as it had come down through the church. On December 7^th, we will have a visit from St. Nicholas again, who will share stories with us and our children! We also invite, on this special day, for folks to bring ornaments from home that you would like to donate to the church which we will put on our St. James Christmas Tree that very day (lightly used or new ones, please). It will be a First Sunday Breakfast, as well, so there will be much to celebrate.
