About The Event
On Saturday, November 1st, we will watch The Two Popes, a fictional account, based on true events, which explores conversations between Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio (who would become Pope Francis), played by the splendid Jonathan Pryce, and Pope Benedict XVI, played by Anthony Hopkins. The two men, with the church embroiled in scandal, discuss the tradition of the Church, new paths forward, their own weakness, and the power of God. Wonderful performances by two of the English-speaking world’s finest actors. Beginning at 6 pm, bring your dinner and let’s eat together, watch the movie, enjoy popcorn and drinks, and discuss a bit afterward.
