Music Program
The music program at St. James helps the congregation offer its fullest and best to Almighty God at worship by supporting the singing of psalms, hymns and canticles and by providing music for meditation and inspiration. St. James is blessed by the leadership of Blake Hansen, Director of Music, by the careful preparation of the musicians of our parish, and by a fine organ and piano.
CHOIR
St. James' choir offers music at the 10:15 a.m. service from September to June. The choir is directed by Blake Hansen. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday before the 10:15 a.m. service. Please contasct Blake Hansen through the church office.
There are few ways of wholeheartedly expressing the Love of God more than through singing. Everyone who has had the blessing of being taken by music or creating music knows that it elevates and inspires the soul, which is why it is such an important part of our service. The choir at St. James experiences that pleasure weekly. The hard work put in by every member benefits themselves and the congregation. Now that we are kicking off a new program year, we would like to invite anyone who wants to participate in our music-making to sit in on a rehearsal or two. If you are interested in joining only for a few services, or for special services, such as Christmas Eve or Lessons and Carols, then we also welcome you. There's a great joy that comes when sharing a piece of music, especially if it is particularly meaningful to you.
If you love to sing, than you'll fit right in!
Join us on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

ORGAN
Especially chosen for the size of the church, the organ is an electro-pneumatic instrument that was built in 1975 by Casavant Fréres, in Saint Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada. The organ contains 20 stops along with 29 ranks and is maintained in excellent condition.
