Advent Service of Lessons & Carols

We will offer our traditional Service of Lessons and Carols. Lessons and Carols is a tradition going back centuries, used by many Christian traditions, including our own Anglican way. Lessons and Carols will feature “lessons” or readings telling the story of the coming Messiah, beginning with the Genesis story and going through the prophetic witness that tells us: “He will feed his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms, and carry them in his bosom, and gently lead the mother sheep” (Isaiah 40:11). Wonderful music sung by our choir and played by guest musicians will complement and expand the meaning and promise of the lessons. This service will also be livestreamed on the parish Facebook page. Please join us for this annual tradition of beauty and hope! You are invited, immediately following the service, to a reception in our parish hall.
